customer receipt printer and a bar code scanner which will operate as a standalone

processing and verification device at POS (point of sale).
The system will also allow the operator to track 'layaways' and special orders,
monitor stock location to identify availability of size, colour and price of a
specific item within store or the stockroom or place an order. A daily X/Z sales
report will be produced at the close of trading and can be isolated by clerk,
department or store. A physical copy will be printed for the sales team and the
virtual information stored on the database.
